What’s going on
in your work life?

Maybe you already know something's not working.
Or maybe it's more of a nagging feeling you can't quite name.

Either way - this is how you find out what's really going on.

It’s time for a Work Life Check-up.

Most people don't have the time or headspace to step back and look at their work life objectively. You're too busy being in it. But wouldn’t it be helpful to have that perspective? To see your work life with absolute clarity?

That's where I come in. A Work Life Check-up is a 90-minute, one-on-one conversation that’s all about you - specifically, how work is treating you.

It’s the conversation about work that you can’t have at work. It’s the conversation you’d have with your boss or even HR, if you trusted that it would be received in the right way. It’s the conversation you might start with family or friends, if they ever said something other than “why don’t you just say no?”….

Sometimes you need an objective perspective from someone who understands workplaces, what they ask of us and what you can do to get things working again.

Over an hour, we’ll explore just exactly what’s happening at work:

  • how work demands are intersecting with your life

  • what’s impacting you and why

  • how sustainable your situation is (and what you can do about it)

It’s not therapy, but it’s very therapeutic.

There’s no preparation required. Just share your story with me, and you’ll walk away with validation, clarity and personalised, practical advice.

“The value of having a clear head around work and direction is priceless.”

Is this for me?

You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from a check-up. But you should consider booking one if any of these resonate:

  • Sunday nights fill you with dread

  • You're working longer hours but feel like you're achieving less

  • A trusted friend or family member has suggested you quit your job (possibly more than once)

  • You've fantasised about completely changing careers, or leaving the workforce entirely

  • The phrase "work-life balance" makes you laugh

  • You've told yourself "this is just temporary — things will calm down once I…"

  • You feel like you're leaning back, letting your career happen to you

  • You're feeling more anxious about tasks you used to handle easily

  • You're successful on paper but exhausted in reality

  • You relate to that image of a duck on water — smooth up top, frantically paddling underneath

  • You've researched the symptoms of professional burnout

  • You feel stuck or trapped in a role but don't know why

  • You've thought "there must be more to work than this"

  • You're better at what you do, but don't feel as connected to what it is you're doing

  • You're pulling back from colleagues and feeling more isolated at work

  • You've lost confidence in your skills, and you're worried others have noticed

My role is to show you why you're feeling this way, show you what can be done to influence your situation, and leave you with insights and immediately actionable next steps.

WHO TYPICALLY BOOKS A CHECK-UP?

My clients are usually high-achieving professionals who are great at what they do but struggling with how they're doing it.

They include healthcare professionals overwhelmed by patient loads, business owners drowning in operational demands, corporate leaders questioning whether the ladder they're climbing is against the right wall.

You don't need to be employed to benefit. I regularly work with people in career transitions, between roles, or returning to the workforce. Not having a job creates its own kind of impact on your life, and the check-up helps you understand where you are and what direction to take.

My role is to show you why you’re feeling this way, show you what can be done to influence your situation, and to leave you with insights and immediately actionable next steps.

  • My clients come from a wide range of industries, but they all share a common curiosity about how sustainable their work lives are and what can be done to positively influence their unique situation.

They’re often high-achieving professionals, business owners, or leaders, who love what they do (or at least, used to love it) but who are now asking questions about whether things could be working better.

    They include:

    • Healthcare or medical professionals, in private practice or the public system or both

    • Academics and University staff, educators

    • Business (or side hustle) owners

    • Corporate leaders, Executives, People leaders

    • Creative professionals in the Arts, Cultural or GLAM (Gallery, Libraries, Archives and Museum) sectors

    • Professionals in Communications and Marketing

  • Neither! The Work Life Check-up is a strategic conversation about work.

It looks at how certainty about your career and the demands of your work intersect.

Think of it as a strategic, pre-emptive check-up for your professional life.

We're diagnosing where you are and where you’ve been, and prescribing practical interventions based on your specific journey.

  • No, you absolutely don't need to be currently employed. In fact, I work with people who are in career transitions, have been made redundant, or are between roles. Not having a job creates its own kind of impact on your life, and the check-up helps you understand where you are and what direction to take.

The Work Life Check-up is particularly valuable if you:

    • Have been made redundant and need clarity on next steps

    • Are transitioning between careers

    • Haven't been ‘in the workforce’ for some time (perhaps you’ve been a primary carer)

    • Are considering a portfolio career and want to explore what that looks like

    • Are between roles and want to make strategic rather than reactive choices

This is actually an ideal time to take stock and work out what you want to achieve in your career, rather than just jumping into the next available option.

If finances are tight, remember that the Work Life Check-up is completely free, with no obligation to work together in the future. You will find value in our conversation, and walk away with insights and increased clarity, no matter what.

  • Your privacy is paramount to our work together. Everything we discuss during our Work Life Check-up, our sessions and correspondence remain strictly confidential.

I understand that you're entrusting me with sensitive information about your work practices, career challenges, personal aspirations and more.

Please be assured that nothing you share will be disclosed to anyone else without your explicit written permission. This includes any details about your workplace, colleagues, or personal circumstances.

  • If burnout has even crossed your mind, it's worth doing the check-up.

The conversation is entirely non-judgemental. I’m familiar with burnout and burnout recovery, which is why I’m passionate about early intervention and supporting undersupported professionals.

My goal is to give you clarity and agency. Once we know where you are, we can identify the actions you can take, and what you need to do first.

If you feel like you need immediate assistance, Beyond Blue has helpful resources. And if you’re not ready to talk to someone face-to-face, you can always do my free burnout quiz to see where you’re at.

Remember, burnout is never the fault of the individual, and help is available.

  • Absolutely. My approach incorporates neurodivergence and recognises that traditional advice based on neurotypical preferences doesn't work for everyone.

We'll explore strategies that recognise and work with your preferred ways of working, not against them.

The visual element of the Work Life Check-up, the mapping of the zones and the creative visual frameworks that I’ve devised for each zone often resonate with neurodivergent professionals. The conversation will offer new ways of thinking about your situation and possible paths forward.

  • There's nothing you need to prepare! Come as you are, with whatever is on your mind about your work life. The assessment is designed to uncover insights through our conversation, not through homework.

That said, it helps to be somewhere you can speak freely and have about 70 minutes without interruptions.

At the heart of our conversation will be two questions:

    1. How sure are you of your career direction?

    2. How much is your work impacting on your day-to-day life?

If you can talk to me about those two elements, you’re ready for a check-up.

  • Sessions are conducted via video call (Google Meet). You just need a stable internet connection and a device with camera and microphone.

Have paper and pen handy for the exercises.

I provide a written summary of the session within 24 hours of our meeting, but you’re always welcome to take your own notes throughout.

  • After your Check-up, you'll have:

    • Clear understanding of your current zone, and the risks of staying there too long without a plan

    • Insight into what your trajectory might look like without intervention

    • Initial strategies appropriate for your zone placement

    • The option to continue with deeper work if desired

    • A written summary of our conversation, sent within 24 hours

After our conversation, you then have the option of working with me as a client. My programs are completely personalised to your circumstances. We work together over a period of months to design and implement a more sustainable work life for you, whatever that looks like for your particular goals.

There’s no obligation to work together beyond the Check-up. Some people prefer to process the information before contacting me about my programs. There's no pressure - the check-in is valuable by itself, even without further strategies and solutions.

  • Request a Work Life Check-up for immediate clarity on where you are, where you’ve been and where you're headed. No preparation needed, just bring yourself and your questions.

Use the form below to request your Work Life Check-up, and I’ll be in touch over email to set up a time.
